Thank You Matt Turnbull! ππ
After seven years of dedicated service to Water Polo ACT, Matt Turnbull has stepped down from the WPACT Board, having previously served as President until 2025.
Throughout his time on the Board, Matt has played a significant role in the growth and development of water polo in the ACT. His leadership helped guide WPACT through a period of substantial membership growth, strengthening our governance, representative pathways and relationships with clubs and key stakeholders.
Matt was instrumental in developing a more strategic and sustainable structure for the organisation, including the introduction of paid staff and improvements to the way the Board operates. He has also been a strong advocate for the future of aquatic facilities in Canberra through his involvement with the ACT Aquatic Alliance.
Beyond these achievements, Matt has generously given countless hours of his time, knowledge and expertise behind the scenes. His passion for the sport, forward thinking and commitment to creating opportunities for our members have made a lasting impact on the ACT water polo community.
On behalf of the WPACT Board, the WPACT Operations team, our clubs and the wider water polo community, we sincerely thank Matt for his exceptional leadership, dedication and contribution over the past seven years.
Thank you, Matt! ππ
