3 minutes agoSounds excellent BUT..it ONLY bio-degrades in Soil ....so that would be a real problem in Cities and Factories. HOW to dispose of it ? It's perfectly fine for home use for those of us with garden compost heaps but otherwise ... What the industrial Factories going to do with it ??
5 minutes agoWell…the word ”plastic” means the way material is mallable, so based on what you present it is still ”plastic”. I do realize the simplicity of ditching words that have aquired bad taste but that is in essence twisting reality and no good. Some mental excercise to come up with an attribute in front of ”plastic” would be better.
6 minutes agoEhhhm biodegradable? But why is it necessary if we not throw it in nature to start with? THATS the real problem. It’s still littering. It won’t stop people throwing it outbid the window as soon as they are half way a highway exit. The problem is behaviour, not material. Plastic is amazing stuff, throwing it on the street or in rivers is the problem to solve.
8 minutes agoI keep asking on various plastic replacement posts and no one is answering me: is it true that if these alternatives plastics are not composted but land up on landfill instead- that they are actually worse for the environment than plastic because they rot rather than compost letting off harmful methane?
