It hurts so much to see the news about our furbabies being dumped like garbage. I honestly don’t know how I would react or how I would feel if that happened to my babies.
Knowing that I gave them everything I had, just to make sure they felt loved, cared for, and cherished until their very last breath, makes this even more heartbreaking. We trusted these afterlife services to give our babies the dignity and respect they deserved, but that trust has been broken.
My heart goes out to all the fur parents, especially those who still haven’t found the bodies of their babies. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain and uncertainty you’re going through. What happened to ours may be a different story, and perhaps an unfair one in its own way, but my heart still breaks for all of you.
While the allegations surrounding Loyal Pet Cremation and the possibility of communal cremation are still unclear, I honestly would rather believe that my babies were cremated together with other pets than think that they were dumped somewhere like garbage. At least, in that thought, I can find a little comfort.
To my Chichi and Kito, whom I entrusted to Loyal Pet, and to my Kita, whom I entrusted to Aeternal Paws:
Mga love, I will continue to keep your ashes close to me. Iisipin ko na lang na marami kayong friends na kasama diyan. And if that’s the case, I will gladly welcome all of them into our home, too.
Please tell your new friends, especially those who were dumped in Bulacan, not to be afraid. Their mamas and papas are looking for them. They haven’t given up. They’re doing everything they can to bring them home.
To all the fur parents searching for their babies, we are praying for you. We hope you find them. We hope they get the dignified farewell they deserve. And we hope that no fur parent ever has to go through something like this again.
Our babies may no longer be physically with us, but they deserve dignity even in death. They were family. They were loved. And they will always be loved.
