We are hosting a film premiere!!!
In Partnership with Bute Inlet Lodge, Session is proud to present TGR’s 31st annual film premiere on November 19th at Session Taproom.
Tickets are extremely limited (link in bio). If we sell out quickly please email [email protected] to join the waitlist. If there is enough interest we will add a second show!
Doors will open for Ticket holders 7pm and the show will start at 8pm!
The kitchen will be open for full service, and by purchasing a ticket(s) a reservation will automatically be made in your name for however many you purchased. All Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to POW - Protect Our Winters!
Please give us a call at 250-914-2231 if you would like to be sat with another group of ticket holders.
About the film:
Actually, It Is Rocket Science is the newest chapter in TGR’s ongoing study of the fall line, told through the world’s best skiers as they turn the mountain into a laboratory and every descent into an experiment.
The study spans Bute Inlet, British Columbia; Haines, Alaska; Japan; Finland; Andorra; Montana; Jay Peak, Vermont; and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Different mountains, snowpacks, conditions, and approaches—but the same forces are always at work: speed, gravity, instinct, and consequence.
Actually, It Is Rocket Science is a tongue-in-cheek look at the seemingly reckless abandon that many of the world’s best snow athletes display as they push the physics of what is possible. Athletes explore the intricacies of dissecting a big mountain line, the physics and amplitude of a massive gap, calculating transition, and the force of gravity.
So, is it rocket science—or is it not?
Watch closely and decide for yourself.
