Day 1 at #CHOGM2026 🇦🇬
Our OEDD delegates Candies Kotchapaw, Angelica Johnson Baptista and Kimara Russell are on the ground in Antigua and Barbuda for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting!
Day one included attending the Interfaith Service and Opening Plenary, connecting with fellow delegates and having the pleasure of meeting inspiring leaders, including the Honourable Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, the Honourable Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica, and Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield.
Being part of CHOGM is an important opportunity to ensure young people are represented in conversations shaping the future of the Commonwealth. As OEDD delegates, we are here to build connections, exchange perspectives and advocate for meaningful youth participation in decision-making.
We’re looking forward to a week of engaging discussions, new partnerships and opportunities to bring youth voices to the forefront of conversations on diplomacy, leadership and the future of our Commonwealth.
A powerful start to an exciting week! 🌍
