Things I’m officially too old for: pretending I want to go somewhere when I’d rather be home. 😅
And apparently, that includes my own birthday.
I turned 36 this year, and instead of planning a big celebration, I turned off my phone, stayed in my pajamas, and did absolutely nothing. Which sounds wonderful, right? Well, I also cried a little. 😂
It was such an interesting experience because, on one hand, I wanted absolutely nothing. On the other, there was still a part of me waiting for someone to surprise me. And it made me realize how often I’ve confused what I actually want with what I think I’m supposed to want.
In tomorrow’s new SOLO on @notalonepod, we’re catching up on alllll of it. My birthday blues, a major breakthrough with imposter syndrome, why I broke up with my Oura Ring, and a few realizations about the way I’ve been living my life.
One thing I know for sure? I don’t want every year of my life to be preparation for a better one. Consider this your permission to disappoint a few people. Including me, if you don’t want to listen.
