Another 2026 release that I’ve been really enjoying: a lovely little 12” from Canada's Khotin, released on his own Khotin Industries imprint in May. Superb productions from a producer who seems incapable of missing — although there's no clips on here of this one, so you'll have to trust me. Or seek it out.

KIND013 houses four tunes, all super deep, all excellent, and all very much in the Larry Heard lineage (without being a carbon copy). The whole 12" has this drifty, dreamy quality that works equally well in the mix, or for listening at home. And whenever I’ve been playing out recently (which, to be fair, isn’t often) this one always seems to sneak into the bag;* it’s a wonderfully versatile 12”. It'll certainly be in attendance this Friday evening, when I’ll be playing some suitably pleasant background music at Lancaster town hall, for Kat & Josh’s big wine tasting. Obviously, I’m not the main event there — the wine is — but I’ve got a bunch of nice things lined up to accompany the quaffing. Buy a ticket; come on down!

*With one notable exception, upstairs at Kanteena last month — but that was because I was at 130 BPM and thereabouts, which this most definitely ain’t. I don't mind pitching stuff up a bit, but 117 to 132 is too far for me.
