Please join us in welcoming Vernon’s new Mayor and Council!
The City of Vernon’s 2026-2030 Mayor and Council were officially sworn in during the Inaugural Council Meeting on November 2, 2026.
Seated left to right: Councillor Rob Sawatzky, Councillor Kelly Fehr, Councillor Dawn Tucker, Mayor Kari Gares, Councillor David Scarlatescu, Councillor Teresa Durning, Councillor Barry Dorval.
The ceremony was met with an incredible show of community support, with residents, family members, and guests coming together to celebrate the beginning of a new term. Thank you to everyone who attended and joined us in marking this important occasion.
