Cristiano Ronaldo has announced his retirement from international soccer after a record-breaking career with Portugal. The 41-year-old broke the news on Thursday in a long Instagram video where he read a letter to his supporters. "The day has come for me to hand back the number 7 shirt of our national team," he said, referring to his iconic shirt number. "I never thought it belonged to me alone. But for 23 years, I had the privilege and the responsibility of wearing it." Ronaldo played a record 234 times for his country, scoring a record 146 international goals. The Batmobile reportedly had a very real victim on the set of The Batman Part II 🦇🚗 According to The Sun, filming on Matt Reeves’ sequel was halted earlier in October after an unnamed cast member was struck by the Batmobile during a dramatic action scene. The person was reportedly taken to the hospital and is now recovering at home. It was the second stoppage in a rough month for the production. Filming had already paused when Reeves stepped away to deal with a family matter, with Steven Soderbergh coming aboard to help finish the final weeks of shooting. The good news: cameras are rolling again at Leavesden Studios, and the film is still set to hit theaters on February 18, 2028.
