Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Thursday alleged that anti-India organisations are funding protests and manufacturing narratives against the government in India. Speaking in Bengaluru, Singh alleged that Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke received funds from US-based donors, while co-founder Ashutosh Ranka was allegedly paid by Pakistani politicians. He also accused foreign-funded NGOs and what he described as “deep-state operatives” of funding the CJP. Responding to the allegations, Ashutosh Ranka hit back at the minister with a series of sarcastic posts on social media. Questioning Singh, he wrote, “Why were you negotiating with us then?” In another post, Ranka listed issues including paper leaks, unemployment, school conditions and alleged vote theft, sarcastically attributing each of them to Pakistan. While Singh has raised questions about the funding sources of CJP leaders, the allegations remain claims made by the minister and have not been independently established

HU Staff: Ariela Anís @ari.anis Yolanda Renee King, the only grandchild of Civil Rights icon Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, is speaking out about casting her first ballot now that she is of age. When asked about having her first chance to vote, during the 2026 midterm elections, the 18-year-old daughter of Martin Luther King III and Arndrea Waters King, told CNN, “I would say it is a very meaningful day for me. I mean, I’ve been waiting for this day for as long as I can remember.” ___________________________________________________ Yolanda recalled accompanying her parents to the polls growing up. She remembered watching them exercise their right to vote while wishing she could do the same — and that day finally came. Yolanda recalled, “I remember being really excited to finally be of age to vote. My parents, from a young age, taught me the importance of the vote, so they would take me to the polls.” Yolanda admitted that as a child she would sometimes feel disappointed that should couldn’t participate. So, she would pretend that she voted by wearing the “I Just Voted” sticker her parents gave to her. ___________________________________________________ Yolanda no longer has to pretend as she now gets to exercise her own vote. She said, “I think it’s such a personal experience that now I will be able to say, yes, I was able to get my voice across through my parents and through friends who could vote before me, but now I can really put it in my voice. I’m such a hands-on person, so I always love to be part of the process. I can’t believe it, and I’m so excited that this day has finally come.” ___________________________________________________ Click the link in bio for full story 📸 @cnn / @blackenterprise

How do you know who you actually are? ‘Stay true to yourself.’ ‘Be authentic.’ ‘You do you.’ But how do you actually know who that ‘you’ is? Well, the ancient Greek philosopher Plotinus might give us a solution, because Plotinus is famous for giving us what’s called the ‘negative way,’ or the ‘via negativa.’ And this says that if you want to find or understand something, you should subtract all of the things that are not that thing. So, for example, if you want to decide what to wear for work, you should subtract all of the things that you don’t want to wear. And the thing that you have left, ideally, is the thing that you have to wear. So Plotinus asks us to imagine our authentic self as like a statue contained within a block of marble. And the art of finding that statue is about chipping away all of those things you don’t care about. Chip away the things you do for money or for praise, or because you have to. Chip away the chores, the jobs, and the responsibilities. What you are left with is your authentic being, and if you do more of that, you will thrive. In other words, you need to reduce. Cut out all of the impositions and pressures in life. Cut out all of the have-tos and must-dos. Cut out all of the things that you don’t actually want to do, because what you have left will be you.
