Same correlation about push ups. Ok , if you're active you live longer. We didn't need studies like that.

When you train the test, the test stops being an effective indicator

There’s a strong correlation between grip strength and leg strength. And increased leg strength is what increases your longevity. Less likely to fall in old age and do yourself damage So basically, just train legs, you’ll live longer

It is more likely people with strong grip are just generally more physically active so they are healthier.

Impressive, but you're confusing correlation and causation. It correlates with longer lifespan bc people who are more active into old age have higher grip strength than those that aren't, and being active into old age causes longer lifespan.

Regardless of what all the donuts in the c section are saying, having a stronger grip makes you better at basically every other lift as well as most sports, so definitely train it every week.
