One last EMMY photo dump for the road. Starting with a huge shoutout to @missyclaireegan. When I first booked @beyondthegatescbs my friend @thenatalie_hall put me in touch with her friend Missy to help me decide if I was going to take the plunge and say yes to playing Ashley for as long as they let me. I’ll never forget that on that call Missy told me if I ever envisioned becoming a mom this was the best job in our industry to be able to make that possible. I’ve always been scared to become a mom as an actor. This industry isn’t always kind to our changing bodies’ and our shared focus — I’ve heard all the horror stories. From women being dropped by reps or let go on jobs…it always seemed like an impossible decision. An either/or. What a full circle moment to be able to finally embrace Missy in person and tell her how right she was. The love and support and FAMILY I’ve been met with from everyone on our show—cast, crew and all the way up to @sheiladucks, @michelevaljean and @juliehcarruthers … not to mention my incredible agents and managers. I feel so lucky that both of my dreams have room to coexist. If you’re an actress and worried about making this choice for yourself, I hope you know that there are people ready to be on your team and support you in all the ways. Don’t settle. And never give up on your dreams. Every last one of them.🌹💫 #newmom #workingmom #beyondthegates #cbs #emmyawards @beyondthegatescbs @cbstvstudios

Your triggers reveal where you’re not free. What someone says or does to upset you may expose an underlying belief you have about yourself. So today I'm going to tell you about seven common triggers and what they may reveal. 1. Criticism. You believe your worth depends on being good enough or competent. 2. Rejection. You believe you need other people’s acceptance to feel worthy. 3. Being ignored. You rely on external validation to feel like you’re enough. 4. Losing control. You believe you can’t feel safe or at peace unless life goes your way. 5. Someone crosses your boundaries. You may struggle to assert your needs and prioritize yourself. 6. Someone else’s success. You measure your worth by comparing yourself to others. 7. Someone disagrees with you. Your identity is attached to being right. Here’s the thing: It’s not just what someone says or does. It’s what you make it mean about you. If someone can destroy your peace simply by ignoring you or disagreeing with you, your peace is still dependent on their behavior. And if someone else’s opinion determines how you feel about yourself, you’ve given them power over your inner world. Your triggers reveal where you’ve handed your freedom to someone else. And those are precisely the places where your work begins. Because the more you recognize that your worth isn’t determined by what other people think, say, or do, the less power they have to disturb your peace. That’s what freedom looks like. So if you want to be less triggered and experience more freedom, DM me today to begin your healing journey. #triggered #triggerwarning #triggers #innerpeace #emotionalhealing
