The West Bengal Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended a WBSEDCL official in New Barrackpore while allegedly accepting a ₹20,000 bribe. The official had reportedly demanded the money to facilitate the installation of a 315 KVA transformer for a new electricity connection. The entire bribe amount was recovered during the operation. Further investigation is underway.
