My phone was stolen at Esplanade Mall, Bhubaneswar, and the experience I had while seeking help from the mall management has been extremely disappointing. I immediately reported the incident at the information counter, following which a security manager came to speak with me. Unfortunately, despite explaining the entire incident approximately five times in Hindi, he failed to understand my concern. It was surprising and frustrating that someone in such a responsible position at a mall in Odisha could not communicate effectively with customers. I subsequently emailed the Esplanade team. The next day, I received a call from Sravani from the Customer Service Department. Instead of providing assistance, she initially asked me to contact another department. After nearly 15 minutes of discussion and argument, she assured me that she would coordinate with the concerned department and help resolve the matter. However, despite that assurance, I have received absolutely no further response. This complete lack of accountability and cooperation raises serious concerns. Given the lack of transparency and the unwillingness to assist, I am beginning to question whether the security arrangements and internal handling of this incident are being properly managed. I am not making any direct accusation against anyone, but the circumstances have certainly raised doubts in my mind. My phone contained important personal information, and losing it has caused significant inconvenience and distress. I urge everyone visiting Esplanade Mall, Bhubaneswar, to remain careful and keep their belongings secure. I will not let this matter go unresolved. I intend to escalate this complaint to the higher authorities and expect the mall management to take responsibility, investigate the incident, review the CCTV footage and provide a proper response.
