In response to “Sunny Side Back”, a work that explores photography and urban space, we are hosting this artist talk at a public space near the exhibition venue.
Photographer and architect Ji Xiang will join curator Michelle Chan for an in-depth conversation on public space and our perception of the city through photographic and architectural perspectives. Ji Xiang will also share the ideas and process behind translating the photobook into an exhibition space.
Together, they will explore the multiple viewing relationships between subject and camera, between print and viewer, as well as the semantic shifts that occur between two and three dimensions during image-making. How do these transitions and exchanges of relations inform Ji Xiang’s artistic practice?
呼應《曬背》這探索攝影與公共空間的作品，我們將於展覽場地附近的公共空間舉行這次藝術家分享。
攝影師兼建築師紀翔將與策展人陳韻芝展開深入對談，從攝影與建築的視角，探討公共空間，以及我們對城市的感知。紀翔亦會分享將攝影書轉化為展覽空間背後的想法與過程。
兩人將共同探討拍攝對象與相機、印刷品與觀者之間的多重觀看關係，以及圖像在製作過程中於二維與三維之間產生的語義偏移。這些轉換與關係之間的流動，如何形塑紀翔的藝術實踐？

During this special event, artist Ji Xiang will invite the audiences to come back to the scene and experience the warmth of sunlight during noon. We will practice our way of noticing and rediscover the open space through photography and architecture.
是次活動藝術家紀翔邀請觀衆回到拍攝現場感受正午時分的陽光，透過攝影與建築的角度重新發現公共空間，感知身邊日常。
