The people of Bristol sang Prisoners for Palestine hunger striker Heba Muraisi’s favourite chant outside HMP Bristol, where Lewie/Bilal of the Brize Norton 6 and recently charged as Filton 25 is imprisoned. My Bill. ❤️ Damn. I lost a part of me. You’re really makin me do this? Billy & Lexi - it’s been that way since 1991. Billy was and always will be: my first best friend. We’re so lucky to have had the life we did with our families. True tradition and love. There was never a time when Billy & I weren’t thick as thieves. We carried eachother through every season of life. Childhood, high school, college, our wild 20’s. He drove me nuts for 34 years. The way that siblings drive eachother nuts. Or cousins. Because that’s what everyone knew us as. “My cousin Billy” or “Ayo meet my cousin Lexi”. I don’t know a life without you & can’t begin to face the reality of living in that one. You always had my back. You always wanted the best for everyone. You made us laugh. Omg did we laugh. You were too pure of heart. We talked so much the past few years. About life, about hard seasons, about moving forward, everything. Or you just randomly texting me “Love you Lex”. Your life was beautiful because of the way you loved people. Your contagious smile and beyond infectious laugh. Your energy was the light. You were the light. Dancing, smiling, laughing, pranking. This will go down as the biggest test of faith I’ll ever endure. I truly believe Jesus met you with the love, mercy, and peace you spent much of your life searching for. You always asked me about God so I’ll find comfort in knowing you are finally in the presence of the one who knew you best. Because heaven needed that heart. I could go on forever. 34 years of memories. If a day goes by where I forget to think of you, haunt me. Side by side till the day we die, WE RIDE. “It’s been real, it’s been fun, it’s been real fun”.
