Today is National Cancer Survivors Day.

I survived cancer. Whether I’m thriving is a different question.

I’m no longer the woman I was before my illness, but I’ve also realized that what thriving means to me has changed completely.

Maybe that’s why I’m still searching.

Not for the old version of myself, but for the woman I’ve become because of everything I’ve lived through.

And maybe thriving is not a destination. Maybe it’s learning to redefine what it means in every season of our lives.

I signed off from my show at NewsNation and three days later celebrated my birthday 🎉

And the best gift has been the absolute outpouring of love.

So many of you have written to say the reporting resonated with you, that you’re cheering me on, and that you’re coming with me into this next chapter. More than 1,000 of you subscribed to my new Substack within the first 24 hours of launching it (!!!) which truly blew me away.
