What we learned from the advocates went far beyond the set. Their stories are a powerful reminder of why it is so important for parents to have proactive conversations about their teen’s health. Meningococcal disease, also known as meningitis, is uncommon, but can be serious. And among teens and young adults, 16- to 23-year-olds have the highest rates of meningitis.
