The natural bridge is a great spot to visit during low tide. You can go in an intertidal walk and catch a glimpse of sea creatures living among the shallow corals there.
The sunset is gorgeous too! It’s a beautiful spot, and the biggest draw is obviously the natural arch formation.
It’s HELLA crowded, though. You’ll have to expect it when you go, and if you want a picture, be nice about it. Wait for your turn and don’t take too long, because EVERYONE wants a picture and the good thing to do is to work together, right?
We did bump into a couple who refused to move for a long, long time and it didn’t feel very nice. Just felt like a reminder that memories are for everyone and this is not just me saying this as a creator 🤷🏻♀️ Doesn’t hurt to be decent about things like these.

“As a kid, I was always drawn to the beauty of life…the way plants swayed to the wind, waves crashed onto the shore & how animals went about their lives. I was just 5 when I’d venture out of my house & wander about Port Blair. My parents never really caged me–having to watch over 6 kids, they had their plates full. So I’d explore every part of the town.
1 day when I was walking by the coast of Port Blair with Papa, I came across an Island floating peacefully. I asked him about it & he said, ‘Oh that’s Ross Island! We lived there for 3 generations before a tsunami destroyed the island & we had to leave.' I promised myself, ‘I’ll visit this place 1 day’; I wanted to find out about my family history!
So I accompanied him there & fell in love! I loved everything from the windy ferry ride to the beautiful ruins. But what I loved the most were the beautiful animals–deer & peacocks wandering about the island. I’d even name them!
Needless to say, I started visiting Ross Island often & soon enough, I knew every nook & corner of the island. And when the tourists used to visit, I would excitedly show them around. I’d even introduce them to my animal friends. They’d say, ‘This island makes us want to leave our city lives & settle here’.
I had no idea what a tourist guide meant at the time, but unknowingly, I became one; the tourists started paying me for showing them around. I was just 12 at the time & loved that I could contribute to my family in my own little way. Simultaneously, I completed my 10th grade & immediately after, I started working full-time.
Over the years, I met so many wonderful people. One time a little girl ran to me crying & hugged me tightly. Her parents said, ‘Her school syllabus has a chapter about you & she’s eager to meet you ever since’. My heart was full of gratitude; I felt fulfilled. Another time, a tourist flew me to Bangalore to visit an Ashram & gave me so much love & respect.
My life has been full of beautiful memories & although I didn’t earn a lot of money, I earned my ‘sukoon’. And I plan to live out the rest of my life enveloped in the beauty of Andaman!” #YehMeraIndia #IndiaAt75
