My booth setup just keeps getting better and better! I’m all for a unique booth setup, and the I loved how it turned out ❤️ It took a lot of work to design and make + the design drew inspiration from my Japanese culture/upbringing, so it means a lot to me as an artist too.❤️🇯🇵 🗝️#kawaiiaesthetic anime artist, art market, artist alley, booth setup, #sanriocore ,anime convention
I’ve been playing around with my booth setup lately, trying to figure out what feels better each time This round I wanted to use the space differently. Instead of keeping everything in front, I opened it up to three sides so it feels less crowded and easier to browse. The idea was simple, to bring all the products within your reach! Not gonna lie, I was really nervous setting it up. I had no idea if it would work or just look confusing. But seeing how it turned out, I feel like this one worked pretty well. Still not perfect, but I learned a lot from it 🙌🏻

I first posted this last September, but there’s been a renewed interest in my how-to videos! This is how I made ten 40-pound tube weights for my 24x24’ booth setup. Even when I am traveling with just a 10x20’ pop up, I bring all ten. I lend them out to others if they’re unprepared. I use these in conjunction with staking. If you’re not allowed to stake, or aren’t able to, you can tie your canopy directly to the top of these using paracord or ratchet straps. Here’s a link to one of my Amazon lists that has the ratchet straps and Velcro zip ties that I personally use, on it: https://amzn.to/3QdO80v A big thank you to Rob of @terrafirmawoodcraft for his assistance in making these. #featherstoneflorals #terrafirmawoodcraft #tubeweights #howto #vendor
Outdoor market season = one eye on booth setup, one eye on the radar. 😅 Last fall in Bayfield, the wind was so intense people were physically holding their tents down during gusts and packing up early. Meanwhile, I was standing there filming because I knew my booth wasn’t going anywhere. A lot of thought goes into how I build my setup — not just making it look good, but making it sturdy enough to survive real market weather. Because honestly, it’s not even just the tent. It’s the displays, signs, lightweight products, table setups, and all the little details that start blowing around the second the wind picks up. Nothing bonds market vendors faster than helping each other chase down whatever just blew across the street. 😂 And honestly… this is exactly why we upgraded our tent weights this spring. We’ll definitely be sharing more about how we secure everything this season because windy weekends are basically guaranteed out here. #MarketSeason #VendorLife #CraftShowLife #SmallBusinessOwner #BehindTheScenes
Your setup matters more than you think. A strong, inviting booth setup must meet these criteria: - Branding: customers need to know what your selling from far - Coherence: Colors, signs, lights need to match and be consistent - Layout: Good layout gives good visuals, helps with grouping best selling items and move inventory - Shopability: Anything too crowded, cluttered will make you lose potential sales Do you agree? Comment if I should do part 2 #vendors #rating #setup #smallbusiness

1️⃣ Assuming ‘exposure’ automatically turns into sales 😥 A crowded booth, lots of compliments, and people taking photos does not always equal revenue. If there’s no clear buying journey, follow-up system, or easy checkout, attention disappears fast 2️⃣Trying to do everything myself Booth setup, customer service, filming content, handling stock, networking, posting online, packing orders Doing all roles at once completely destroys your energy. I’ve learnt how to delegate to the right person to help me to grow my avenues A good support team is not a luxury, it’s survival 3️⃣ Underestimating operational costs ✈️ Flights, shipping, damaged stock, printing, customs, last-minute emergencies, currency conversion, extra baggage, accommodation 😥😥 the hidden costs pile up way faster than expected. Profit margins can disappear even when the event ‘looks successful’ online. 🍎 Lesson I’m taking forward: Overseas trade shows are not just “creative opportunities” they are full-scale business operations. The goal is not to survive the event, but to design it so it can scale, convert, and protect your energy at the same time. If the system relies too heavily on your presence, it’s not a scalable setup it’s a burnout trap in disguise Hence this year Before I went on an international trade show I’ll ask myself what’s my intention and lessons from this, is my brand able to adapt to this new country 💖 It’s okay to take risks too, but sometimes we also have to be cautious and choose risks that are worth the cost #overseasartist #artistlessons #careerlessons #artbusiness #businesslessons
How my booth setup is done, done, done You know I don’t quit when it comes to booth upgrades and you can expect more at Friend Fest in February! This time around I added the grass patch and new tablecloths for my Holiday Fair setup. A HUGE thanks to @sjmade for putting on another incredible event from load-in to load-out! They made a fun, safe, and incredible environment that celebrates small makers and the Bay Area community. Forever thankful to be part of their events ♥️ #cuteartstyle #boothdesign #vending #illustration #digitalart
