A Canadian job seeker is sounding off about what she calls the frustrating hiring process in Canada after being laid off in October. She says she has applied to roughly 600 jobs, hearing back from only 15 to 20. When she does hear back, she says it can involve multiple interviews, assignments and final rounds, only to still be rejected. She said that some hiring processes feel like she’s “applying for NASA” or the medical field, and believes requiring candidates to complete assignments only to reject them afterward should be illegal.
