One of Depeche Mode’s most iconic photographs was taken on Prague’s Charles Bridge by Anton Corbijn, the band’s long-time creative collaborator who became known for his high contrast black-and-white style.
The photo was shot in March 1988 during the Music for the Masses Tour, when the band played a landmark concert at Prague’s Sportovní hala. Taken while Czechoslovakia was still behind the Iron Curtain, the photograph has come to symbolize a culturally significant moment for fans in Central Europe.
