A question that finds its way into my DMs and onto my content pretty regularly, so here’s a quick visual of how I calibrate my watch (in this case the COROS PACE Pro) after a treadmill run, when the final distance on the watch doesn’t match the distance covered on the treadmill. If I’m running at a consistent pace throughout, I’ll set the speed on the watch before starting the run and get an exact match. If I’m running a variety of paces (like this progression run), I won’t set a pace. You could, and just keep adjusting the watch each time you speed up or slow down, but for ease I personally just calibrate the distance once the run is over. people always ask how I’m able to run this much honestly it comes down to recovery and for me the biggest piece of that is sleep this is where your body actually adapts so if your sleep is off, your training will be too i started taking it way more seriously once i could actually track it i use my @corosglobal watch to track my sleep quality every night and it’s been a game changer i can literally see when i’m recovered and when i’m not and it helps me adjust before things start going downhill most people just keep adding more miles instead of fixing the thing that actually lets them improve #ultrarunning #runningtips #recovery #sleepmatters #coros

Cartographie Amazfit vs Garmin (suite) : notez comme ▶️ La cartographie de ces 2 montres est beaucoup moins fluide que celles de COROS, Suunto, Polar. Ce n'est pas étonnant car elles sont toutes 2 routables (lire plus bas). ▶️ La carte de la T-Rex 3 Pro est plus fluide que celle de la Forerunner 970 Pour rappel, Amazfit (ce modèle ci) et Garmin proposent une carte routable : elles contiennent les coordonnées des routes, chemins, POI avec des fonctions exploitant ces données : calcul/générateur d'itinéraire, recalcul d'itinéraire en cas de déviation, retour par le chemin le plus court, recherche d'un restau, camping, toilettes, etc... Du coup, pour déplacer la carte, faire une rotation ou la zoomer, il faut beaucoup, beaucoup d'opérations... Ce n'est pas une simple photo qu'on agrandit. D'où certaine latences. MAIS NOTEZ CECI : Amazfit s'en sort bien MAIS cela s'explique probablement par la taille des cartes, très petite chez Amazfit (16 x 11 km pour la mienne ! et jusqu'à 557 x 400 km maxi) alors que Garmin couvre toute l'Europe et plus... De plus, Garmin propose beaucoup plus de données selon les paramètres : calques des reliefs, météo, etc. mais que j'ai désactivés ici pour cette vidéo.
