Slowly but surely my house is becoming a little cookie shop! 😭😂🍪 Finding little ways to make it work and taking advice from anyone that’s been in the cottage bakery business longer ❤️🥲🙌🏽. Everything is separate from my actual kitchen supplies bc I needed my own space.🤣😂🙌🏽 PRE ORDERS CLOSE TOMMROW ! ❤️🍪 #smallbusinesslove #cookies #businessowners #sweets #explore

I think the word “launch” makes starting a home bakery sound WAY more dramatic than it needs to be. Suddenly you think you need: A perfect logo. A website. Professional photos. Custom packaging. A huge menu. 500 followers waiting for opening day. A countdown on Instagram like you’re releasing an iPhone. 😂 You don’t. Once you’ve handled the legal requirements where you live, know your costs and have a way to take orders and payments, you can start SMALL. Post a weekend menu. Set a preorder deadline. Set a pickup date. Take a manageable number of orders. Bake. Fulfill them. Then look at what happened. What sold? What did you make? What did it cost? What was annoying? What would you change? Then do it again. Your first weekend doesn’t have to prove that you can build a six-figure bakery. It just needs to prove that someone will pay you for what you make. Then you build from there. And if the pricing, business setup or backend tech is the part keeping you stuck, that’s exactly why I’ve created resources for new cottage bakers. Comment BAKE 👇🏽 and I’ll send the guides straight to your inbox! 🎂❤️ #StartAHomeBakery #HomeBakery #HomeBaker #BakingBusiness #CottageBakery

This exact same post on TT got over 65k views and reached countless new neighbors wanting to check out the bake stand and buy some sourdough 🥲 I’m so lucky to be your baker, Orangevale ❤️ come early tomorrow if you want to snag a loaf — but don’t worry I baked my butt of today so there’d be enough to go around. #orangevale #cottagebakery #sourdoughbaker #sacramento #sourdough
