Super easy floor to fit. I got 3 packs of the vinyl adhesive floor tiles but had quite a lot left out the 3rd pack. It cost me £110 in total. It’s linked on my story and in January highlights . #diyfloor #flooring #diyhome #flooringinstallation #homediy

The office floor is complete! ✨ What a task. I’m sooo happy with the transformation and to be honest I think I’ll miss the mindlessness of it! It was such a simple and calming lil job. I didn’t anticipate it was gonna take 8 weeks to complete but it’s the result of any nap time I could maximise and when each square was taking me at least 20 mins (I defo got faster towards the end) 😅, not much progress was made over a weekend! The amount of people that have asked me about progress over the last few weeks has been so funny, I may have given up without the encouragement so thanks!! Let me know what you think. Onto the walls next I guess 🫡 P.s. a huge shoutout to @houseofhetheringtons for the inspiration, the advice and cheering me on throughout 😂 #diyfloor #edwardianrenovation #officereveal #floortiledesign #floortilestyle

Part 2 - The Penny Floor ✨ When I tell you this is back breaking, soul crushing, agonising work believe me. Whilst Tom spent about 10 hours on his knees, I spent the same amount of time going through over 9000 pennies. In my initial enthusiasm I wanted to find all our birth years, anniversaries etc & it’s harder than it sounds. Turns out our wedding year 2018, only 29k pennies were made hence why I couldn’t find one. In all these pennies I only found 2 with my birth year & 1 with Toms. I don’t have any 2023 from when we moved into this house & I don’t have a new coin with Charlie on. I was looking for 1 of every significant year but then one of you lovely lot said how nice it would be to frame the special year coins so I then started searching for 2 of every year. I had hundreds of 1971 pennies & after speaking with my mum I know why. It was the year the UK decimalised its currency. 2020 was hard to find for obvious reasons. 2018 impossible, the search goes on. What I will say is despite the filthy hands & back ache it was quite therapeutic looking at all the coins, all the difference countries we found. We even found a coin from 1792 in the bags! Anyway as you can see it’s taken us a lot longer than anticipated. If you missed Part 1 please go back & have a look. Part 3 will be next week and will include the full floor pattern, grout & resin application. Thanks so much cheering us on this past week. It means alot xx #pennyfloor #diyfloor #diyhomeprojects #myhome2inspire #smallspaceideas
