You know the hardest part about moving to a new country? It’s actually making friends as an adult and I don’t think people talk about this enough 🥺 I moved to Toronto a year back after my wedding and I was literally starting from 0 in terms of a social circle. Here are three things that helped 🙌🏼 - Reaching out to people I kind of knew. My old school friends or college folks who lived here but I was no longer in touch with. Just texting and meeting up with them opened up so many friendships! 💯 - Attending local networking events, run clubs and gym was another big one! 🌟 seeing familiar faces day after day def helps build friendships 🫶🏼 - Last but not the least, be open to being vulnerable 🌱 I know it’s not the most comfortable but reach out to people when you get the chance 🙏🏼 If you have any suggestions for navigating friendships in a new city do drop them in the comments. ❤️
