I used to think trusting God would eventually make me feel fearless.
Like if I prayed enough, surrendered enough, read my Bible enough, and had enough faith… the fear would disappear.
But I’ve learned that sometimes trusting God looks like being scared and choosing to walk with Him anyway. 🤍
Fear isn’t automatically proof that your faith is failing.
You can cry and trust God.
You can have questions and trust God.
You can desperately wish the situation were different and still trust God.
You can have shaky hands and still take the next step.
So many times in Scripture, “do not fear” is followed by the reason we don’t have to stay consumed by fear:
God is with us.
Maybe the goal was never to become a woman who never feels afraid.
Maybe it’s becoming a woman who knows exactly where to go when she is.
“God, I’m scared. And I’m still going to trust You here.”
