When you finally get a couple of hours child free to tick "paint the ensuite" off the to do list. Pleasantly surprised with the application as we'd normally choose the bigger well known brand names but I'd definitely purchase again! @influenster @bandq_uk #complimentary #BandQIt

AD A reminder that it’s okay to change your mind mid-DIY. The plan was to add trim around my windows to make the room feel more charming but the reality was paint regret and an emergency trip to B&Q. Thank goodness for my local store and the patient people on the paint mixing desk. Adding trim round a window is a simple DIY that can transform a room. I used my electric mitre saw to cut the trim but you could use a mitre box and manual saw. After I changed my mind and went in a different direction with the paint I feel like I’ve created a room that feels fresh, cheerful and full of charm. ✨ What do you think? The perfect shade of white! Wow who knew there were so many to choose from! 🤍 Thank you all for your help I’m really happy with the one we chose! . It’s called ‘soft cotton’ from B&Q in th good home range - was one of the cheaper options and the man said it was super durable and you can clean it - sold too the teenage mum 😂 . For a DIY job this room is really taking shape and I can’t wait to accessorise 😍 today I’m going to a shop I haven’t been to for so long I have withdrawal symptoms and I can’t wait! Can you guess where? 👀💛💙😂 . The carpet I just asked Aaron for a neutral shade I didn’t mind what I just said cheap and cheerful 😅 he didn’t disappoint! What’s it called? Primer, stain blocker and matt finish… all in one can. I was sceptical at first too and then I tried it! But @braditepaints One Can Matt is designed to simplify the whole decorating process. It’s a water-based, virtually odourless coating that dries fast (touch dry in around 30 minutes, recoat in about 1 hour) while still delivering a durable professional matt finish. It’s built to handle real working environments too, with anti-corrosive protection and mould & mildew resistance, making it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and other high-humidity spaces. What I actually like most though is the colour options, the colour I’m using here is Traffic White in a matt finish which is a perfect off white neutral. You can tint it to full RAL, BS and NCS colours, and there’s also a curated colour card with 54 shades designed to work perfectly for modern interiors and exteriors.
