Weekend build of an Enterprise Intel system using a triage agent that selects and assigns work to a team of agent archetypes, using @openai’s recent Agent SDK, WebSearchTool and Responses API. Powerful intelligence and competitor comparison reporting. Took about 50 prompts and Codex only threw 2 errors. Satisfying to spend more time focusing on building and less in AI fixing its own errors. This weekend, I took a massive step forward in Agentic AI and containerisation. I’ve built a fully Dockerised, persistent AI Research & Mail Assistant that doesn't just "chat"—it executes! The Architecture: The Supervisor Pattern Instead of a single bot, I implemented a LangGraph Supervisor (The Brain) that delegates tasks to specialized sub-agents: The Research Agent: Scours data and provides technical summaries using Groq and LangChain. The Mail Agent: Uses SMTPlib to autonomously read unread messages and send research reports straight to an inbox. Turning a Script into a Product: I custom-built features to make this production-ready: ✅ Persistent Chat History: Integrated PostgreSQL and SQLModel so every session is saved and searchable via the sidebar. ✅ Interactive UI: A responsive frontend built with HTML/CSS/JS and served through FastAPI. ✅ One-Command Setup: Entirely containerized with Docker for seamless deployment. Seeing the Supervisor autonomously decide to research a topic and then trigger the Mail Agent to send the results to my inbox was the ultimate "it works!" moment. 🔥 I’m Theophilus Olayiwola, a final-year medical student and AI/ML enthusiast.
