It is my great honor to participate in the 2026 Wuhan Biennale. I bring my brand-new large-scale spatial installation, Singularity. The installation took half a month to build, consuming 50,000 meters of steel wire. I integrated local materials collected from streets and alleys of Wuhan to complete this work.
Does memory have a definite form? Thinking of those wooden window frames forgotten by time — does anyone still miss them?

wilderness consists of thirteen disposable plastic shopping bags that playfully dance in the gallery space articulated by wave data collected on a voyage across the Pacific Ocean.
Data for this installation was collected as artist at sea resident aboard the @schmidtocean Schmidt Ocean Institute Research Vessel Falkor as it transited from Astoria, Oregon to Honolulu, Hawaii, July 2019. While in the middle of the enormous ocean, at times, it felt this place was completely untouched by human activities. This delusion was destroyed by the occasional piece of human made debris floating in this vast wilderness. Using an on-board accelerometer, every movement of the ship caused by wave action was collected during the entire journey. The Z movement data is directly mapped to the movements of the bags floating in the gallery space creating the effect that the bags are suspended in waves of the Pacific.

A mirrored sphere hovers - composed, almost weightless. Then, without warning, it falls.
Water shatters. Light fractures. Time shifts.
In this immersive kinetic installation, Sebastian Kite stages a moment between tension and release, control and collapse. Each fall is unique, a rupture that lingers, echoing through space and perception.
Drawing on ideas of the unconscious and the shadow self, the work becomes a meditation on impermanence, transformation, and the fragile edge of the present.
