10 spots to visit in Kawagoe this spring! 🇯🇵 Kawagoe is only half an hour from Ikebukuro… so save this reel and share if you love it! 🔔 Toki-no-kane is the symbol of Kawagoe, and even Saitama (you will see it in many tourist promo for Saitama prefecture). 🏮Koedo old town is where you can transport yourself back to Japan’s Edo period, with lots of street food and shops to check out! 🎏 Koinobori along the Taisho Roman Yume dori is a sight to be seen. These colourful carps are only up during spring, usually around end of March until mid-May. ♨️ Footbath cafe is a spot where you can rest your feet and enjoy some desserts or drinks. It is tucked behind Kaya, which is one of my favourite stores to shop in. 💐 Naka-in is where you can find full bloom mimosa side by side a weeping sakura tree. They also have live piano performances in spring… 🍡 Kita-in is a large temple area with lots of sakura trees. You’ll find many people doing hanami picnic here, with some festival food available! 🐦‍⬛ Kawagoe Kumano Shrine is where you can find pretty sakura decorations during spring. 🪷 Renkeiji Temple is so beautiful in spring with Sakura trees blooming at the temple ground. ⛩️ Kawagoe Hikari Shrine is an important shrine in Kawagoe where you can find an ema tunnel. Follow the path to get you to the last spot… 🌸 Shingashi River is the most popular spot in Kawagoe during cherry blossom season because you find hundreds of sakura trees lined up by the river.
