From Vancouver Island to the Okanagan đŸ”„đŸ”ïž What an incredible trip from the Island over to Penticton, BC for the Mountain Hunting Expo hosted by the Wild Sheep Society of British Columbia. There’s nothing like being in a room full of passionate hunters, conservationists, and outdoors men and women who truly care about protecting our wild sheep and backcountry landscapes. The Wild Sheep Society of BC continues to raise millions for conservation projects across the province — from habitat enhancement to wildlife stewardship and education. That’s exactly why I’m proud to be a Lifetime Member. This isn’t just about hunting — it’s about legacy, conservation, and ensuring these wild places and wild sheep thrive for generations to come. Is @buckyihlenfeldt going to make it out of DAY ONE!? My good friend Bucky, drew the <1% at @wildsheepfoundation Show to get his chance to go and punch his tag on a sheep hunt. Bucky would face EVERY obstacle imaginable, but he threw everything he had it, leaving it all on the mountain. @scentloktechnologies #sheephunting #hunting #bowhunting #wildsheepfoundation #conservation

Penticton 2026! The @wildsheepsocietybc Salute to Conservation and Mountain Hunting Expo was the perfect cap’ to a long run of road trips to various conventions. From the ram awards, banquets, life member brunch, vendor hall and educational seminars there was no shortage of entertainment and excitement for all who attended. Combine that with a record breaking weekend for conservation funds raised by the society and you’ve got yourself one for the books! I want to say a HUGE thank you to all of you who came out and attended as well as the amazing team behind the scenes that made it possible. It was incredible to see the room filled with people eager to learn and connect in the outdoors and in conservation. A big thank you to everyone who came out and supported the seminar. Tagged out just like that đŸ’„ There’s a moment that doesn’t get talked about enough. After the shot. After the grip and grin. After the miles and the grind. It’s when you pull the tag out of your pocket, cut it, and place it on the animal. That tag represents conservation dollars at work, Biologists managing herds, a system built to sustain wild places and a promise that nothing goes to waste. In remote country miles from a road you kneel down, zip tie that tag on, and it hits amongst other things that this isn’t just a hunt. It’s stewardship. We don’t just take from the wild. A ram we let walk last year for #fcf Still unsure if he was legal by age, very close to full curl but from our angle we just couldn’t tell. On his right side we thought he was at least 8yrs old but his left side just wasn’t as convincing. Only having a few minutes to watch him and not feeling confident at the time we let him walk away. #stonesheep #wildsheepfoundation #wildsheepsocietyofbc #hunting
