Yesterday I visited the newly revamped Albright Knox Museum in Buffalo. The place my Mom brought me a a very young kid and I first engaged with real art. This piece is Lucas Samaras’ Mirrored Room 1966. I was 1 year old when he made it - started visiting it soon after - so nice to be able to experience it again. Formative works. Just mirrors on plywood frame. #lucassamaras #mirroredroom @albrightknox360

I was thrilled to go see this show “With Pleasure: Pattern and Decoration in American Art 1972–1985” today at the @ccsbard Hessel Museum at Bard. It’s free and you just need to make a reservation online. There are so many artists in this exhibition that have made a huge impact on my work for the past 25 years that I was inspired to record this short video in the hope that many people can see it in person.
