Since its launch in 2014, Bvlgari’s (@bvlgari) Octo Finissimo collection has become an icon of modern luxury watchmaking. The latest collaboration is with Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej, who is known for his expressive calligraphic paintings and sculptures. The Mattar Bin Lahej x Octo Finissimo watch - a limited edition of 70 pieces - embellishes Bvlgari’s sleek timepiece with laser-engraved Arabic calligraphy, which unfurls seamlessly across a sandblasted titanium case, bracelet and dial.
The lettering draws on words spoken by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai: “The future will be for those who can imagine, design, and implement it. The future does not wait, but it can be designed and built today.”
