Parents are struggling to afford childcare and too many Americans don’t have access to paid family leave.
My @dadscaucus colleagues and I are in the fight with so many of you to change that.
Washington workers — paid leave here isn’t a perk. It’s a system.
Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) is one of the strongest programs in the country.
If you’ve logged enough hours, you may qualify for paid time off to:
• Care for your own health
• Bond with a new child
• Care for a family member
And here’s the part most people miss:
Your employer doesn’t approve it. The state does.
Benefit amounts and eligibility rules update regularly. If you’re waiting for HR to break it down clearly… you might be waiting a while.
Knowing how PFML actually works changes how you plan your life.
Save this. Send it to yourself. Stay informed.

Why don't working families get the same tax loopholes billionaires do? They are the foundation of our nation and economy.
Equal Pay Day falls one day later this year, signaling the gender pay gap has widened for the second year in a row.
Equal Pay Day is today. Not a celebration, but a call to action. Women work months into the year to earn what men made last year. Equal pay for equal work. Now!
The wage gap is real, and it’s unacceptable. This Equal Pay Day, we stand with women across New York and recommit to achieving true pay equity.
We’re here in 2026, it’s Equal Pay Day, and yes, the pay gap is still persistent.
In California, we’ve been working to change that. Through our Equal Pay Pledge and playbook of resources, we can drive small shifts to help employers close the gap in real ways.

Equal Pay Day is an opportunity to challenge the status quo
A non comprehensive list of where I’d rather send $1,000: child care subsidies, food assistance, health insurance, libraries, roads, museums, public schools
Today is Equal Pay Day—marking how far into 2026 women must work to earn what men were paid in 2025.
When women are paid fairly, they can reach their potential and our entire economy benefits.
Women deserve equal pay NOW. The DWC will keep fighting.
Today is Equal Pay Day, or the day that supposedly marks how far into the next year women must work to earn the same as men did the previous year. Don’t be fooled. The statistic used on this day doesn’t take into account a lot of important labor choices.

For the first time in decades, the gender pay gap widened two years in a row; women working full-time, year-round went from earning 84 cents on the dollar in 2022 to 83 cents in 2023 and 81 cents in 2024. Equal Pay Day 2026 lands on March 26 because that is how far into this year women have to work to catch up to what men earned in 2025. That is not progress; that is a warning. #women #equalpay
