We are excited to say we successfully carried out a community service initiative titled “Cleaner Environment Drive.” The program was organized to promote environmental responsibility, sustainability, and community awareness on the importance of a clean and healthy environment. The clean-up exercise covered multiple areas within the surrounding communities, including community spaces and nearby school environments. Beyond sanitation activities, the initiative featured interactive and educational sessions with students, focusing on environmental consciousness, clean energy advocacy, and sustainable practices. The program recorded outstanding student participation, with over 50 students drawn from different departments and academic levels actively involved. Participants demonstrated high levels of enthusiasm, collaboration, and commitment throughout the exercise. In addition, SPE visibility and awareness were strongly promoted, as students were proudly represented in their SPE attire, reinforcing identity, unity, and professional representation within the host communities. The initiative was marked by strong engagement, effective coordination, and positive community impact. Overall, the Cleaner Environment Drive was a resounding success, reflecting the dedication of SPE members to service, leadership, and environmental stewardship. #SPE-FUTO #speportharcourtsection #specares #wearespe #studentleadership

Promoting a circular economy is a shared responsibility. Recently, the students at Ifako Comprehensive Junior Secondary School received a new recycling bin to help them lead the charge in fostering a culture of cleanliness and waste recycling. We believe the transition to a sustainable future starts with education. By providing the infrastructure for responsible waste management, we are equipping the next generation with the habits necessary to protect our planet. Supporting our local schools is a commitment to building a cleaner, greener community together. #Impact #CSR #SageGrey

60% of Enugu’s waste is plastic — and we see the impact every day in our streets and gutters. Clean-ups matter, but they’re not a permanent solution. That’s why we’re launching Project Recycle — a school-focused initiative helping secondary school students understand waste and build healthy environmental habits early. When students learn early, the impact moves from the classroom to the home — and spreads. We’re catching them young to build a cleaner, greener Coal City — one school, one student, one step at a time. Yesterday we pulled up at Kisutu Girls Secondary School 🔥 Learning. Sharing. Acting for the environment. ♻️🌍
A few months ago, I had the opportunity to speak to students about single-use plastics and climate change. One thing I strongly believe: Changing behavior will always start with awareness. Before people reduce plastic use, rethink waste, or take climate action, they need to understand the impact. They need to see how single-use plastics connect to flooding, carbon emissions, and environmental sustainability. Awareness may seem small. But it is where every meaningful shift begins. The conversations continue. #ClimateAction #PlasticPollution #SDG13 #ClimateAwareness #EnvironmentalEducation Sustainability YouthForClimate Ghana WasteManagement
Listen closely, this is what learning sounds like when it turns into purpose. 🌱 From understanding climate issues to imagining solutions, these young voices are already thinking about how to take what they’ve learned back into their schools, homes, and communities. But this journey doesn’t end with them. It grows when parents, educators, partners, and communities choose to support, guide, and walk alongside them. When young people are equipped, and the rest of us show up, real change becomes possible. 🌍 #ClimateTeenSummit #TEIAdvocacy #YouthForClimate #OurClimateOurFuture

Urbanization is growing fast. Cities are expanding. Buildings are rising. Opportunities are increasing but at what cost? As someone involved in the construction sector, I understand the reality. Every new project can mean cleared land, cut trees, and disturbed ecosystems. Development is necessary, yes but development without environmental awareness puts our future at risk. That’s why I proudly support this Back to School for Climate Action project under Youth Voice Organization. This initiative goes beyond awareness. It is about educating and preparing young people to understand how to balance economic growth with environmental protection. We need a generation that will build smarter cities. A generation that values sustainability. A generation that protects nature while creating progress. Because the future of our planet depends on the decisions we make today. This is not just a project. It is responsibility. It is leadership. It is ACTION. #backtoschool #climateaction #youthvoiceorganization #buildresponsibly
