Nós Portugueses had the pleasure of sitting down with Mike Rita and his parents to share in his journey to where he is today. “Mike Rita turned his experiences of growing up in a Portuguese working-class immigrant family and in a low-income neighbourhood in West downtown Toronto into the inspiration for his prolific career as a comedian.” Mike is also part of an exciting project with the @theportuguesekids that will be airing in @rtppt @rtpacores @rtpplay this coming March call ‘Portuguese Problems’. We wish him much success in his ventures. Stay tuned.

Follow📈) The video shows a time-lapse of restoring a heavily polluted urban canal with excavators dredging debris, constructing concrete walls, and landscaping banks, resulting in clear blue water and green spaces, overlaid with Portuguese text questioning if this solves the issue. It appears inspired by real pollution problems in Goiânia, Brazil's Avenida G e C canal, where illegal dumping creates similar murky conditions, though the clip circulates as a conceptual proposal rather than documented project footage. Audience reactions highlight engineering feasibility—effective for debris removal per studies like those from the World Bank on waterway dredging—but doubt the speed and water clarity, often attributing it to AI enhancement amid global urban cleanup challenges. .
