A great first week with these Jr. Kindergarten cuties 😍😍 They were being such great listeners as we played our big version of seek & find with colors and shapes. This is a great way to gain their attention and encourage listening to directions while reviewing. ❤️🔵🟪🟢 #art #prek #shapes #preschool #teacher

One of my FAVORITE ways to build early literacy skills? Environmental print! Children begin recognizing words and symbols from their real everyday world long before they are formally reading. Snack labels, restaurants, stores, logos, and signs they see all the time. When learning feels meaningful, children become so much more engaged! More environmental print ideas: • Create a classroom grocery store using store magazines • Match logos to beginning letters • Sort familiar labels by colors or categories • Hunt for environmental print around the school/home • Use food boxes and containers in dramatic play or add to blocks • Cut up old snack/cereal boxes and make puzzles I used resources from @preschool_vibes_ for this activity and my students absolutely loved it! Save this for later and follow along for more playful, meaningful Pre-K learning ideas 💕 #prek #prekteacher #earlychildhoodeducation #environmentalprint #literacyactivities

Our Pre-K friends put their focus and coordination to the test! 🎈 Using tongs to catch floating balls helped strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and patience in the most fun way possible! 🎈 🧠 👏 ✨ 💙 #TheGoddardSchool #LearningThroughPlay #PreK #FineMotorSkills #EarlyLearning
