⭐️MY BOOK IS HERE!!! Please note - this reel is from 2022 - just before the book was released. I’ve pinned it to my profile 🤩 OH my goodness - I’ve just received a copy of my book ! I wanted to share the opening of it with you all as you were all so supportive and encouraging during the year it took me to write it - it looks wonderful and I feel just a bit proud of myself. It has been a year since we first created this crow in a raincoat. It has proved popular and so it’s back. We do appreciate all the love it’s received, thank you all. 
The idea was to capture the look of a plastic, waterproof fabric with a subtle reflective quality. The yellow areas allow parts of the white paper beneath to show through, creating the illusion of a glossy surface. At the same time, the visible feathers underneath suggest the material has a slight translucency. Printing one of my favourite lino cuts to date! 🌊 Originally printed for the @landworkersalliance calendar 2025, it shows all the wonderful types of seaweed we can grow. I had so much fun carving all the weird textures and swirly shapes that seaweed has, and researching it was a very good excuse to spend lots of time at the beach (as if I need an excuse) These will be coming with me to @formfalmouth in a couple of weeks! #linocut #printmaking #illustration #cornwallartist #printmaker
