📚 Learning to balance motherhood & real estate is TOUGH. From showings to client calls it can feel like a tug of war between family responsibility and wanting to be there 1000% for your clients 👂 Pssst… it doesn’t have to be! 🔥 Here are 3 big mistakes I made (and how you can avoid them!!) 💫1. Going it alone. I made the mistake early on of trying to do EVERYTHING myself! There are lots of options out there for support, whether it’s working with another agent, assistant or virtual admin, AI support and systems.. there are so many ways to get help & support. This was LIFE CHANGING. I was scared to do it at first, but once I did my life and business saw huge results. ✌️ 2. Not posting on social media sooner (aside from just listed or just sold posts!). I always made the excuse ‘I’m too busy’ or ‘I don’t know what to post’. If I had started years ago I would be so much further ahead. It is such a great way to bring value, build relationships and stay top of mind to current and potential clients (can also be a great lead source! 🚀 3. Not showing up authentically in my business. I spent a lot of time looking around at whatever anyone else was doing and trying to follow them. I’m in awe of all the mamas out there who somehow juggle this career (or any job) with kids at home- because we all know that is a job in and of itself. I honestly don’t know how you do it. I’m so grateful to have family nearby to help - it takes a village. Realtor moms, share your tips! Work-life balance is definitely on my vision board this year. Here’s a little peek into my day yesterday: ✨Started with Pre-K drop-off (car bagel + blueberries for breakfast—it’s a vibe). If I’m lucky, I try to squeeze in a morning walk or a workout. Yesterday was a class at @doverpilates ✨Since most of my appointments were in NH, I camped out at @twobeespatisserie to save time instead of heading home. I spent the morning working on pending transactions, following up with new clients, and tackling systems. ✨In the afternoon, I braved the freezing temps 🥶 for a septic/well inspection before picking up my daughter from my mom. I got to spend a few hours with family (best part of the day!) before heading back out for evening showings from 5:45–7 PM. ✨Wrapped the day with a quick dance session in the kitchen and a late-night offer—submitted by 8:30 PM to make the deadline for this morning. Even on busy days like this, there are blocks of time that allow me to stay flexible and make space for family—which I’m so thankful for. However, if there is a way to incorporate more time with my little one, I’d love to hear tips and tricks!

I had EVERY INTENTION of taking a legit 12 week leave after baby Winston was born. Then I listed a house 2 days after leaving the hospital, helped buyers get under contract on a house a couple days later, and of course continued working on my current clients transactions as well. 🤔🫣😳😎. Realtor moms can you relate!? How do you NOT work as a self employed Real Estate agent during the busiest time of year!? Yep, a hot mess inside a dumpster fire inside of a train wreck! 🤪🤣 • Anyway, It’s all good! Im working pretty part time and enjoying my time with baby boy, And as long as my clients don’t mind some flexibility, me showing up with a cute little helper during my “leave” or a gob of spit up on my clothes, they are in good hands and I enjoy the work! 🙌🏻 🏡

REALTOR MOMS GET IT. 📣 My daughter knows it cost about $3,000 to go for a weekend to Disneyland. 🏰 I tell her each and every time that we go to Disneyland that it’s one trip daddy and I don’t get to take together OR another project around the house we delay. She’s gotten smart enough to ask me, “Mommy, how much do you make when you sell THIS house?” 🤓 We work through the commission structure, the expenses of DWA, Uncle Sam, the business savings account, the personal savings account, and then what is left. 🟰 She says, that’s just enough for Disneyland! I say, yes, but the household bills come before that. 🏡 So, Disney is 3 houses like these. Each school break or day off school, I bring Pix along with me to showings, closings, escrow signings, key handoffs, stagings, open houses, content creation days… Why? 🤔 Because young Millennials, Gen Z, and Gen Alpha need to know the real value of hard work. 🗳️ The value of trading your time for money until you can invest in enough assets that you no longer have to trade your time for money. The … ‘how many hours you have to trade for a pair of Lululemon or a new Stanley cup.’ 🛍️ The best gift I can give to her? Not Disneyland. It’s teaching her the value of hard work, the value of money, and how to take control of your life always by being able to financially take care of yourself no matter what. Realtor moms?
