I’m in Albany today, working hard for the people of the 61st District. I’ll be voting on two bills that matter to you: the Count Every Vote Act, which updates recount rules so every vote truly counts, and a bill allowing county-wide polling places so anyone in the county can vote more easily on Election Day. I’ll keep you updated on the results and what they mean for our community.

I know firsthand the life-changing impact public policy can make. I also know that right now, Washington is not working for working class Iowans. My Pushing for Change Agenda is a comprehensive set of reforms to rebuild the American Dream, because Iowans shouldn’t have to feel like they are constantly pushing uphill just to get by.

I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS. This was supposed to be a TikTok exclusive—a little something for the youth while we waited for the “professional” campaign video to finish rendering. But then my staff saw it, lost their minds, and staged a coup. They insisted that this goes everywhere. So here I am, catching a vibe while delivering yard signs. If you think my dancing is “cringy,” just remember: I’m still more graceful than the people trying to steal IPS by instilling the unqualified charter hacks. YARD SIGNS ARE OFFICIALLY AVAILABLE! If you want one of these beautiful slices of progressive real estate in your yard, let me know, and I’ll personally make sure it gets there (dancing not guaranteed upon delivery). Also, if you’re at the No Kings Indy rally today, come find me! I’ll be at the booth, I’ll be speaking, and I promise to keep the choreography to a minimum. I'm a pro-ERA Democrat, and it was great to be with so many others this morning in the Capitol Rotunda to hear from ERA authors Sen. @mkmkunesh and Rep. @leighformn and shout "ERA YES!" Representative @erinkoegel also chaired a House Commerce hearing on HF 3419 to eliminate the right of corporations to fund political activities, effectively overturning the Citizens United decision.
