How our oceans should look. Not overfished and stripped bare, the way they are now becoming. The Galapagos is one of the few places in the world that truly shows how wild and healthy the ocean is meant to be. With an overwhelming amount of life everywhere. But sadly in such an alive ecosystem you unfortunately still see the human impacts. Multiple sharks with hooks and line, and fishing vessels waiting right on the border of the reserve. Waiting for these creatures to slip outside of their protected zone. Ever heard someone argue with a shark? Truth is, I was more so playing with the old gal who I’ve known for a decade. Snooty took an obvious interest in my camera dome, which I do try to protect. When redirecting a shark, you push them down and away, and generally they’ll “just keep swimming!” Snooty felt she could control the situation so as I realized the game she was about to play, I started talking to her having fun with the situation. ** When Shark diving you never back down / swim away from the shark.
