if you could only recommend ONE purchase to another artist/small business owner, what would it be? 👀🤔 let’s make the comments a resource for everyone! 😗🤭

Most business owners are too lazy to do the basics.
You want more loyal customers?
Learn their f*ing name!
That alone could be worth £5,000+.
The pub in my village lost thousands because they didn’t bother.
Don’t make the same mistake.

POV: you do the math on your small business and it’s technically $292/hour
(for fifteen minutes a day, but let’s not focus on that)
Full breakdown in the video. Every line item, what Etsy takes, what’s actually left. This is just a portion of our day. Follow along for full day breakdowns, bulk order math, and how we actually run this thing so you can too 📦

Small business owners… here’s one of my favorite money-saving hacks! 👏🏽
Instead of ordering expensive flyers, I design mine in Canva, upload them to CVS as 4×6 photo prints, and use the code AUG at checkout.
💰 Right now they’re only $0.15 each, so I printed 400 flyers for just $60!
This is one of those little tricks that has saved me hundreds over the years.
👉 If you already know Canva, give it a try!
👉 If you DON’T know how to make flyers or business cards, don’t stress. I have beginner-friendly Canva templates in my digital storefront, along with my “They Found Me Online” guide where I walk through the tools and systems I use to market my bakery and create my promotional materials.
Save this post so you can use it the next time you need marketing materials, and send it to another small business owner!

You don’t need thousands of dollars to start a boutique. 👀
I built Fashion Dollz Boutique from a garage to a 2,800 sq ft storefront without draining my savings on inventory I wasn’t sure would sell.
The secret? A vendor list that lets you source product WITHOUT paying big money upfront.
No guessing. No dead stock. No financial stress before you even open your doors.
I use this exact list myself — still do.
Comment “VENDORS” and I’ll send it to you. 👇

Magnetic hoops where have you been all of my life! I received the hooping station as part of a creator partnership with @hoopmastermightyhoop and immediately paid my own cash money dollars for more 5.5x5.5” hoops so I can be a left chest embroidering machine.
Efficiency is key to a well run business and magnetic hoops are now key to my studio’s efficiency. I’ve significantly reduced my changeover time by having hoops always ready to be put on my machine. I can sail through orders now at a much faster pace. I can’t believe I went a year in this business without it!

I just posted content without ever leaving @claudeai .
I have a whole folder of content that’s been collecting dust because getting it edited + captioned + scheduled always felt like a whole event.
Now it takes two minutes and I can do it from my couch during nap time!
If that’s you too — comment POST and I’ll send you the exact step-by-step instructions for how to set this up for yourself!
And a special thanks to @planoly for this gifted exchange. I’m soooo excited to use this in my weekly workflow!

You really don’t need a huge inventory or expensive equipment to start a T-shirt business.
Here’s the math:
Buy quality blank shirts for around $10–$15 each.
Find a DTF transfer vendor. A lot of vendors already have thousands of ready-to-press designs, so you don’t even have to design anything yourself.
A transfer might cost you around $3–$6 depending on the size.
Press the design onto your blank with a heat press.
Sell your finished shirt for around $35–$45.
If you’re making roughly $20–$25 profit per shirt, selling just 20–25 shirts a week could put you around that $500 profit goal.
And that’s exactly how you can start small. You don’t need 100 shirts sitting in your house. Start with a few blanks, test designs, post consistently, reinvest what you make and grow from there.
The hardest part isn’t making the shirt. It’s getting people to see it, so keep posting even when it feels like nobody is watching.
Save this if you’ve been thinking about starting a T-shirt business or share it with a friend who needs the push.

Using just one logo for your brand is a trap. ❌
Think about it: a detailed, horizontal logo looks amazing on your website header or a big sign. But try shrinking that same logo down into a tiny Instagram profile circle, a website favicon, or a sticker and suddenly, it’s completely unreadable.
That’s why every brand needs a logo family. Instead of forcing one design to do all the heavy lifting, you need a flexible system tailored for every space.
Here are the 3 essential types you need:
1️⃣ Primary Logo: Your main, fully detailed signature logo. Best for websites, packaging, and large signage where space isn’t an issue.
2️⃣ Secondary Logo: A modified version (often stacked or alternative layout) used when the primary logo doesn't fit the layout proportions.
3️⃣ Brand Mark (or Favicon/Icon): The stripped-down, simplified symbol or lettermark. Built strictly for tiny spaces like social media avatars, browser tabs, or stamps.
When your branding is adaptable, your business instantly looks more professional, cohesive, and intentional everywhere it appears. 💡
👇 How many of these three do you currently have? Let me know in the comments!

1. ‘Gatekeep’ your supplies or suppliers. You’re literally running a BUSINESS, why would you share all your secrets to making money so other people can reap all the benefits without having to do any of the hard work? It baffles me👀
2. Discontinue your best sellers if you grow to hate them. No matter how successful they are or how much money they make you,if you dread making them then let them go👋🏻
3. Post whatever you like. Literally post anything you like, if you want to. You don’t need to follow trends or keep up with an aesthetic grid to grow your business.
