Remembering Static Major ✍️🏽🎤🎶🕊 The Songwriter/Singer Passed Away 18 Years Ago Today. Static Major was a gifted singer, songwriter, and producer who helped define the smooth sound of late ‘90s and early 2000s R&B. As a member of Playa and a behind-the-scenes force for artists like Ginuwine, Aaliyah, and Lil Wayne, Static’s pen shaped classics like “Pony,” “Try Again,” and “Lollipop" and so much more. His signature blend of soul and sensuality left a timeless mark on R&B, reminding the world that true artistry never fades, even after the beat stops. (Featured Song: "For A Long Time" Written/Sung by Static) #StaticMajor #Playa #MissyElliott #Timbaland #BlackHistoryMonth

Absolutely goated. Did you know Drake sampled Static Major’s “If Ya Scared” for this? Arguably Drake’s best song ever, at least the best one on Take Care. It’s also the song he infamously walked out to on his “It’a All a Blur” tour @champagnepapi
