'The Landing' by Richa Agarwal is an incredible, almost soul-shattering, psychological thriller that has substituted outside bang with something to be far more frightening: the slow, silent breakdown of a human soul. This story is based on true events, and it follows First Officer Anvi Singh, a rising star in the skies, who is disciplined, composed, and entrusted with hundreds of lives. But before the wheels touch the tarmac, some nameless panic is screaming. It is not only the aviation backdrop that makes this book so addictive to read; it is the gut-level description of high-functioning anxiety. Anvi is the one we all rely on the one who seems coolest in the shaking world. But behind the uniform, she is fighting nightmares that mix into daylight and physical symptoms that show up on her skin. Agarwal is surgically precise in his writing, and you can sense your own chest narrowing with each attempted landing. The story becomes beautiful and transformative when Anvi goes to London to find help. The layers of her ideal life, stripped away through the prism of clinical hypnotherapy, we see the submerged trauma in her past. The Sisterhood: The relationship between Anvi and her sister, Riya, offers a warm, emotion-based counterpoint to the seriousness of the psychological themes. It is not merely a pilot story, but a mental health manifesto. It reminds us that strength is not lacking fear, but the will to cease fleeing it. The Landing is a thoughtful, careful, and very human study of how our history determines our present. It does not scream its truths but whispers them, lingering with you long after the last transmission. This book is your book, should you have ever had to wage a silent war when the world looked upon you only as strong. There are times when the most difficult landing we ever need to make is the landing back to ourselves. Lines I love the most are: "Every beginning is an end to a previous chapter. Every end is a beginning of a new chapter." "What if the real emergency isn't in the sky, but inside you?" . . . . . #thelanding #richaagarwal #thrillerbooks #bookstagramindia

Anvi Singh is a pilot who looks strong from the outside. She flies planes, handles pressure, and seems to have everything under control. But inside, she is carrying something heavy. The book opens with her plane about to land and her trying to send one last message. That moment pulled me in because you feel how much she is holding. It is not just about flying. It is about someone barely holding on. Her fear starts during landings, just when the wheels should touch the ground. Then it follows her home, into her sleep, into her quiet moments. She is up for a big promotion, but something inside her is breaking. Nightmares mix with real life. Memories she buried long ago begin to rise. The story does not rush. It lets you sit with her, feel her confusion, her quiet panic. You start to see that the real storm is inside her. What touched me is how real her struggle feels. Everyone has fears they hide, parts of themselves they do not want to face. Anvi is strong on the outside, but inside she is fighting something she cannot name. The book does not judge her. It stays with her gently as she tries to understand what is happening. It made me think about my own hidden fears and how much energy it takes to keep them buried. This book stayed with me after I finished. It is about a pilot, but really it is about anyone who has ever felt like they are falling apart while trying to look okay. It reminds us that real courage is not about being fearless. It is about turning toward the fear, looking at it, and finding your way back to yourself. That is a story worth reading. #TheLanding #Bookstagram #InnerStrength #MentalHealthMatters #FacingFear
Earlier this month, we joined @twogoodco to celebrate their 10th birthday and a decade of ‘doing good’ at The Landing, their new social-purpose precinct at Victoria Cross North Sydney on Cammeraygal Country. Simone’s moving Acknowledgement of Country set the tone for an evening that was a heartfelt celebration of the women at the core of the TwoGood story, and the journey of a community of people, partners and collaborators that has grown together around a shared mission of strength, food and changing the course. BVN were honoured to be asked by Rob Caslick and the TwoGood team to collaborate on an event design concept for the celebrations and International Womens Day events in their new space throughout March. Ten years ago we collaborated with local artists, developing tapestries to be auctioned at TwoGood’s first birthday celebrations. This year, to honour the simple but powerful ritual of dining together at the table, we designed a new 150m tapestry for TwoGood and their many shared meals to come. Playful dining motifs – bread, cheese, cutlery, fruits and vegetables – were lovingly designed and painted by a volunteer team from BVN and TwoGood onto recycled and repurposed canvas. Winding along curved tables, via exhibition stands of memorable objects and powerful portraits, and along the stone floor of The Landing, we sought to tie together the story of TwoGood to its mission of providing nutritious meals and training pathways through its not-for-profit kitchens. 🍅 Read the full story in Bio #TheLanding #TwoGood #CommunityHub #Sociallmpact #eventwithlmpact
Shutter Island meets the sky.” ✈️🌪️ Imagine being a First Officer trusted with hundreds of lives, while your own mind is slowly becoming the most dangerous place to be. I’m diving into The Landing by Richa Agarwal, and it is every bit as intense as it sounds. Think Black Swan in a cockpit. It’s a psychological thriller in the league of The Silent Patient, but rooted in a uniquely Indian exploration of fear and memory. 🇮🇳🧠 Inspired by true events and written by a clinical hypnotherapist, the story follows Anvi Singh—a rising star whose grip on reality begins to slip just as her career reaches new heights. It’s where aviation meets the subconscious, and the result is absolutely chilling. If you’re a fan of "unreliable narrator" tropes and deep psychological dives, this needs to be on your TBR immediately. 📖✨ #Bookstagram #PsychologicalThriller #TheLanding #BookRecommendations #ThrillerBooks [The Landing, Richa Agarwal, Anvi Singh, psychological thriller, aviation fiction, true stories, mental health books, gripping reads, debut novel, book community]
Some evenings stay with you forever. 29th March was one of them. Inspired by the true story of one of my clients, my book, The Landing began as a deeply personal journey into fear, healing, and the hidden narratives that shape our lives. What started as one story that refused to leave me, went on to become an Amazon Bestseller, and on 29th March, it found its most beautiful moment yet at its official launch at the Grand Hyatt, Gurugram. The evening was far more than a book launch. It was a celebration of courage, transformation, and the power of stories to heal, awaken, and connect. Surrounded by friends, mentors, colleagues, and loved ones who have been part of my journey across different chapters of life, the moment felt profoundly special. From the world of global technology leadership to hypnotherapy, filmmaking, and now authorship, this milestone is a reminder that sometimes the most powerful journeys begin with a single question - what lies beneath our fear? My heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us and made the evening so memorable with their presence, warmth, and encouragement. Here’s to every person who has ever stood at the edge of fear and still chosen to move forward. The Landing has now truly taken flight.
