I regret my decisions 😅🫠
Sustainable scheduling is all about finding the balance that works for YOU.
Some therapists thrive with a full day of back-to-back sessions, while others need lots of breaks to reset between clients. It’s not about comparing yourself to colleagues or sticking to a rigid idea of “success”; it’s about knowing your own limits and honoring them.
Protecting your energy means paying attention to what leaves you feeling drained versus fulfilled and adjusting your schedule accordingly. Maybe that’s starting later, ending earlier, or blocking off time to eat lunch without rushing. You’re not failing if you need more space in your day! Honoring your needs helps you show up as your best self for clients and for yourself.🫶🏼

Believe it or not, this is something that happens from time to time! You might be seeing family members or friends that have no idea that are seeing the same Therapist!
If you’re a therapist and you think two clients might know each other, here’s how to handle it ethically, legally, and with care:
1. Protect Confidentiality:
Never confirm or deny client identities or relationships. Stay neutral and avoid any comments that could disclose private information.
2. Document Objectively:
Stick to documenting only what each client shares in their session. Don’t make assumptions or cross-reference their stories in your notes or your mind.
3. Seek Consultation if Needed:
If the dynamic starts to impact treatment or feels like a conflict of interest, seek supervision or consultation to determine the best course of action for both clients.
Therapy is a sacred space, and it’s our responsibility to keep it safe for everyone no matter how small the world feels sometimes!

Sorry not sorry
💌Send this to someone who gets it!
And guess what? You don’t have to do that thing you told your therapist!
That’s the beautiful thing about your therapist… they aren’t judging you!
You get to make the choices you want to live your life!
You are the expert on you! We are just here to add extra support!
And sometimes doing the thing we “know we shouldn’t” is part of the learning curve, and Therapy helps you work through that shit with kindness and compassion and also a smidge of self accountability 😉

My job as a therapist is to support you in your journey… not get you to live like me.
💯
The diversity in the human experience and what “works” for each person has been one my favorite parts of the therapeutic process.
🛋️
And yeah, I do hope you treat others with freaking COMPASSION and not be an ahole who harms others.. but outside that? Do you!
