In our weekly Organizing meetings, staff, leaders and neighbors gather around the same table to map out exactly how we serve the heart of our community. This is the work of the sacred change maker. We invite you to join us at our next meeting to share your voice, align around a shared vision, and help us shape the future of our communities.
THROWBACK TUESDAY: People’s Agenda 🔥🎤 One week ago, our office convened OVER 200 community voices—all ages, demographics, and neighborhoods—for four hours of amplifying & organizing. We were honored to be joined by key partners, BBA, Reclaim Roxbury, Ranked Choice Voting Boston, and more, who provided insights, resources, and pathways for residents to turn their ideas into real action. Special thank you as well to the over 100 youth who turned out, demonstrating that you all are not only our future, but our present. From housing justice to education, public safety to economic opportunity, the message was clear: Boston residents are ready to lead, and they’re demanding a seat at the table. This is what people-powered policy looks like. And we’re just getting started.
Want more 🌳green spaces, a city that doesn’t cower to 🚫Trump or ICE, and robust ✊🏽worker protections that honors the daily grind of everyday New Yorkers? 💜Join my people-powered campaign to help elect me — a career urban planner and former government leader — to City Council in District 3️⃣ on April 28! Have you ever attended a community board meeting? Are you even sure if your neighborhood has one? These meetings are accessible and important and more often than not, they have low turnout. We can change that. If you've been wondering where to start, this is a great first step! Even if you don't say anything at all the first time you go, but just getting in that room and listening to the conversations happening is an important piece of civic engagement. It's your first step. We start here. We start small. The impact grows. #AllInTogether

Chapter 91 says the waterfront belongs to the public. We showed what that can look like. At our February Monthly Meetup, women of color from across Boston gathered with one goal: take care of our neighbors. We met in the Leventhal Room — a Chapter 91 public access space, meaning it exists because Massachusetts law requires parts of the waterfront to remain open and accessible to the public. Spaces like this are meant for community — and we showed exactly what that can look like. What started as a community potluck turned into an assembly line of care, urgency, and action. ✨ 500 Anti-ICE support kits assembled✨ 1,000 resources distributed✨ Cold-weather essentials + Know Your Rights materials shared through trusted community networks Because access to the waterfront should also mean access to safety, information, and community care. This is what happens when women of color lead in blue spaces. Thank you to everyone who cooked, assembled kits, shared knowledge, and showed up with intention. Care is action. And we’re continuing the work. #BHWOCC #EnvironmentalJustice #Chapter91 #BostonHarbor #WomenOfColorLead
