🎥 That Media girl. Growing up, my father introduced me to media at a very young age. I had the opportunity to do several radio interviews with him, and over time the radio studio became a place that felt familiar and inspiring. That early exposure shaped my confidence in communication and storytelling.
Years later, stepping back into that space felt both familiar and meaningful as I had the privilege of co-hosting the first episode of the Youth Care Radio Show.
I am proud to have represented Copper Rose Zambia through this platform. The show is proudly brought to you by the Regional SRHR Fund under Hivos Southern Africa, with support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
This program creates space for important conversations around youth wellbeing and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
📻 Catch the Youth Care Radio Show every Friday at 15:00hrs on Radio Icengelo.
Grateful for the opportunity to use media as a tool for advocacy and youth empowerment.

Let’s Build Talents Association of Uganda is a Non – governmental community driven organization dedicated to transforming lives of the youth in the ghetto communities through talents development, financial literacy, and practical skills empowerment. As part of its commitment to addressing youth challenges in Uganda, the organization is implementing the Stay Away From Drugs Campaign Trail to raise awareness about drug abuse promote healthy and productive lifestyles among young people.
The campaign is rooted in the belief that empowering youth with personal development skills, education, and vocational training is a powerful way to prevent drug abuse and reduce youth unemployment. Many young people turn to drugs due to idleness, peer pressure, lack of opportunities, and limited guidance. Through this campaign, Let’s Build Talents Association of Uganda seeks to address these root causes by engaging youth in meaningful activities that help them discover their talents, build confidence, and make positive life choices.

Throwback to this intense studio session at Star TV (Mainstream Media), where I hosted a critical dialogue on the mismatch between our current education system and the evolving job market for youth. 🎤✨
As a Global Youth Ambassador for @theirworldorg , my research and advocacy focus on 'Digital Poverty' and the structural inequalities that hinder young Tanzanians from accessing 21st-century opportunities.
We cannot talk about a 'deficit' without addressing the lack of assets and tools available to our students.
I believe in Co-creation where youth are not just subjects of research, but active architects of the educational solutions they need. Let’s shift the narrative from struggle to sustainable empowerment!

Motherhood Should Not End a Girl’s Education: Breaking the Cycle and Rebuilding Female Leadership in the DRC
⸻
In many of our communities, when a girl becomes a mother, her academic journey — whether primary, secondary, or university — often comes to an abrupt end.
This raises an important question: Why should the status of being a mother automatically justify withdrawing a girl from school?
Leadership — especially female leadership — is not only innate; it is also an art and a skill that can be developed through education and knowledge. When we remove a girl from school because she has a child, we are condemning her to an endless cycle of economic hardship and limiting her potential for leadership and development.
Denying education to young mothers reinforces poverty, weakens community growth, and creates significant barriers to sustainable development in our cities and across the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
In this video, I highlight how financial constraints and limited access to education affect female leadership and contribute to underdevelopment in our city and in the DRC as a whole.
This reflection follows an important discussion I had with Mapenzi Manyebwa, expert in project management and community development, and President of the Civil Society and Citizens’ Movements Synergy of Uvira.
Together, we emphasize the urgent need to support girls’ education — including young mothers — as a foundation for stronger leadership and sustainable development.

Stepping into communities to spark civic education, fully aware of the risks: hostility, intimidation, even repression. It is the refusal to sit out the future. In this episode, “Shopping for New Leaders,” @abbiezuena joins young changemakers who are armed with bold ideas, the Constitution, and an unshakable belief in the rule of law. The real question: What happens when a generation that knows its power decides to use it?
