Today we adventure the west side of Oahu. Waianae. I haven’t been in this area for years but since we heard a few cool
Spots in here, it’s definitely time to take a visit. We randomly just turn into some streets and ended up with this open field with high towers and some dome. Definitely a military operation feild in there. Then we first stop at the Waianae Coast Health center. Not only is it a vital resource for the community, but the views from the center were stunning! We took a moment to soak in the beauty of the coastline from up high. Rian love the little grassy area so we played there for a bit.
Then headed to a charming beachfront restaurant that promised great food and an even better view. This restaurant is called 604. Just outside, there were locals enjoying the beach, surfing and even had a tour boat with slide in the middle of the ocean. We ordered clam chowder, fish and chips, coconut shrimp, poke nachoes and French toast. My 2 year old son enjoyed the views so much, he couldn’t even sit still and keeps climbing on the fence. We scolded him and a had a melt down and cried so loud but the crashing waves in the background and the people that were watching football made his crying and noise almost non existence.
It’s time to go and we stop at the Waianae store. Living in Hawaii for over 30 years, I have not step foot in this store. The people working there were so nice and we were greeted with a hello. 3x Honestly my local foodland store don’t even acknowledge when you enter so that was a plus. Grab a few groceries and we spent over $120.
We stop by at Tamuras to get their famous chocolate croissant but the bakery close and we didn’t had a chance. Hopefully next time!
Then we started driving, soaking in some views of the crashing waves as we drove home.
