I noticed the new cameras installed in the school zones and honestly… I’m glad they finally did it.
Way too many people fly through those areas like the flashing lights and speed limits don’t apply to them. With kids, parents, and buses around, it only takes one distracted or speeding driver for something bad to happen.
If these cameras make people slow down and actually pay attention in school zones, I’m all for it. The safety of the kids should always come first.
Has anyone else noticed them popping up around their area too?

Baltimore City is installing more cameras to enforce bus-only lanes.
If the lane is painted red and marked for buses it’s not for driving, parking, or “waiting real quick.”
Those cameras don’t blink.
And neither does the ticket.

At a stop sign with a marked stop line, Maryland law requires you to stop before the white line.
If there’s no line, stop before the crosswalk.
If there’s no crosswalk, stop before entering the intersection.
The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration road test looks for:
✔️ Complete stop (no rolling)
✔️ Proper stopping position
✔️ Awareness before proceeding
Stopping correctly = automatic confidence points. 🛑🚗

Most rear-end crashes happen because someone was just a little too close. 🚗
Here’s an easy rule to remember:
If you’re going 70 mph → stay 7 car lengths back.
If you’re going 50 mph → stay 5 car lengths back.
Whatever that first number is in your speed — that’s how many car lengths you should leave between you and the car in front of you.
That extra space gives you time to react, brake safely, and avoid turning a normal drive into an accident.
Simple rule. Safer roads.
